羽織袴姿の武士に変身
▼ 去年発表した「褌侍七変化」では長髪だったため、似合わないという投書があり、2016年10月22日、坊主頭を機に、再度、羽織袴の武士に変身した。前回と比べて、精悍さが出てきたと思う。
 
　教育者・新渡戸稲造は彼の著書「武士道」の中で、侍の精神を「定義こそないが武士道は今も昔もこの国に息づく魂であり原動力である」と説明しており、サッカー日本代表の侍ジャパンの様に、今もその精神性は息づいていると思う。

Transforming into samurai wearing haori-hakama (formal kimono)
Once I received the comment that 'long haircut never fits samurai' concerning to 'Fundoshi Samurai Transformed' uploaded on December 4, 2015. This time, I transformed into samurai again wearing haori-hakama (formal kimono) on October 22, 2016 in the occasion of making my head buzz cut. I think this samurai increased the fearless due to butch haircut.
 
Japanese educator Inazo Nitobe,in his book Bushido:The Soul of Japan, described the spirit of samurai. He summarized that 'Unformulated, Bushido was and still is the animating spirit, the motor force of our country.' I think the spiritualty exsists even today like Samurai Japan the national football team.

槍を持つ武士

▼ 槍を持つ羽織袴姿の武士に変身。自信たっぷりの槍の名手。白と黒の調和した着物は最高で、老齢の私に似合っている。

Transforming into samurai wearing haori-hakama holding a spear who is a expert spear man having a confidently look. The kimono's collaboration of white and black is superb, it fits aged me well.

褌侍に変身
▼ 侍の下着は、通常は前垂式六尺褌で、時代劇でしばしば目にする。坊主頭になったので、より野性味が増したように思う。

The loincloth of samurai was normally rokusyaku fundoshi front apron short type so that we often see in the samurai drama of TVs or movies. I think that the fearless of samurai has increased due to buzz cut.

黒褌忍者に変身
▼ 武士の手先として活躍する忍者が多く存在したのは、鎌倉時代から江戸時代の間で、忍術を使って情報収集や監視、暗殺などを行う特殊集団だった。
 
　今回、身に付けたは、黒い六尺褌、黒い手甲（てっこう）脚絆（きゃはん）、草鞋（わらじ）のみ。忍者は、この上に黒い頭巾、着物、裾が筒状の裁着袴（たっつけばかま）を着用して暗躍した。
 
　忍者は、マンガやアニメを通して世界的に知られるようになり、NARUTO -ナルト-は、最も人気のある忍者漫画となった。日本にある忍者レストランや忍者体験教室は、海外からの観光客に人気がある。

Transforming into black fundoshi ninjya
Ninjas majorly existed from the Kamakura era to the Edo era in Japan. They used a lot of ninjutsu (ninjya art) which were the technique or method for their special job or activity. They collected information, observed, assassinated etc. as special groups working for samurai.
　
This time, I only wear black rokusyaku fundoshi double fastened long type, black tekko (wrist bands) and black kyahan (leggings) as well as waraji (straw sandals). Ninja wore black costume of head hood, kimono and hakama (tight skirt) in addition to above for secret mission.
  
Ninjas came to be known worldwide through manga (cartoons) and anime (animated cartoons). 'NARUTO' is the most popular ninja manga. In Japan, ninja restaurants and ninja experiences classes are very popular among tourists from overseas.

▼ 身に付けているのは、黒い六尺褌、黒い手甲（てっこう）脚絆（きゃはん）、草鞋（わらじ）のみ。

How cool they are! Ninjya is a very popular entity even today throughout the world so that ninja is one of cool Japan and our treasure as well as samurai.(annimation)

　平成28年（2016）10月28日（金）、秋深まる多摩川を望む我が家で、本年第12作となる〈 褌侍七変化【弐】 〉が完成した。幼い頃、チャンバラごっこに興じた団塊の世代、誰もが侍に憧れていた。サッカーの侍ジャパンの例を出すまでもなく、侍は、現代でも世界中で人気がある。日本人に生まれてきて、本当に良かったと思う。
　侍に扮するときは、六尺褌を締めないと様にならない。そこで、今回も褌一丁の写真を掲載した。また、侍と共に人気の高い忍者に扮した写真を掲載したが、東京では忍者の装束を備えたフォトスタジオが無いので、いつか伊賀の忍者村に行ってみたいと思う。
'Fundoshi Samurai Transformed 2' has completed as 12th work for this year in my house facing Tamagawa River of deepening autumn on October 28, 2016. I am baby boom generation who enjoyed sword fight yearning samurai in our childhood without exception. Needless to give the example of Samurai Japan of national football team, samurai is very popular throughout the world. I feel very happy to be born as a Japanese man.
 
 It is necessary for samurai to wear rokusyaku fundoshi in order to show cool and manly so that I uploaded fudoshi samurai as well as fundoshi ninja which is also popular overseas. However, there is no photo studio having black ninja costume so that I would like to go to Iga Ninja Village someday.

　
褌侍万歳！
　江戸時代の侍や町人は、褌をしているのが当たり前なのに、テレビの時代劇では、ハンダコ姿が登場する。私の大好きな「暴れん坊将軍」でも「新さん」こと徳田新之助がハンダコ姿で神輿祭に現れたときには、がっかりさせられた。
　前回、上記の様なコメントを出していたところ、最近見た「暴れん坊将軍」では、ハンダコ姿に混じって一人だけ褌姿が画面を横切った。担当ディレクターがハンダコの嘘を気にしてのことなのだろうか。しかし、江戸から明治時代にかけては、男の下着は、全員、褌だったことをゆがめないで頂きたい。
　この作品をWa☆Daフォトギャラリーに掲載する前に、約4700人のフレンドと約3500人のフォロアーを有する我がフェイスブック  https://www.facebook.com/yoshio.wada.12 に発表したところ、大きな反響があった。既に、「日本に旅行したときは戦国武将に変身したい」というコメントも何件か寄せられており、昨年、褌をお送りして下着に愛用しているクアラルンプール在住のマレーシア人（元政府高官）を私がサムライアーマー・フォトスタジオに案内することになっている。これからも益々親日家が増えることを期待したい。褌侍万歳！

Fundoshi Samurai Banzai!

It is very natural for samurai or townsmen in Edo era to wear fundoshi for their underwear. However, handako the short pants is often seen in samurai drama of TVs. Abarenbo Shogun (direct translation: Rogue General) is a popular Japanese television program on the TV Asahi network. I was disappointed to see that Shin san the General appeared wearing handako at mikoshi festival.  

But, recently I saw a fundoshi man crossed the screen in front of handako men at the drama. Maybe the director inserted the scene to mind the lie. I ask all TV producers and directors not distort the fact that all Japanese men wore fundoshi in Edo and Meiji era because handako was invented at Taisyo era following Meiji era.
Before this work was uploaded on Wada Photo Gallery I had uploaded these photo album on my Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/yoshio.wada.12 having about 4700 friends and about 3500 followers so that I received a great response from overseas. Already I got several comments that 'When I go to Japan I would like to transform into armored samurai commander.' and I promised with a Malaysian who once was a high ranking government officer living Kuala Lumpur to attend and guide him to Shibuya Samurai Armor Photo Studio in the near future. I hope sympathizers for Japan will increase more and more. Fundoshi Samurai Banzai!

コスプレ道楽
　コスプレ cosplay は、ハロウィンや謝肉祭（カーニバル）、仮面舞踏会（マスカラード）など、世界各地で見られる娯楽である。日本では、祭がそれにあたり、京都の葵祭（写真上）や時代祭をはじめ、山車祭や神輿祭などで伝統の衣装に身を包み、街頭を練り歩くなどして非日常を楽しみ、英気を養ってきた。
　最近では、若者の間で、漫画やアニメの登場人物に扮するコスプレが流行っており、我々ロートルも祭に限らず、フォトスタジオなどで役者のように変身してコスプレを楽しむ時代になった。愛読者の皆さんも元気なうちに侍や戦国武将になってみては如何？    2016.10.28 18:00  和田義男 （69歳）

Cosplay Hobby
Cosplay is a worldwide hobby such as Halloween, Carnival, Masquerade and so forth. Matsuri the festival such as Aoi Matsuri and Jidai Matsuri at Kyoto is also cosplay in Japan. We Japanese have been enjoyed unusual day and refreshed ourselves wearing traditional costume at Dashi (wagon) or Mikoshi (portable shrine) festivals.
Recently the cosplays of manga and anime characters are very popular in young generation of Japan. Nowadays old men can also enjoy cosplay transforming like TV actors at photo studio. Why don't you try to transform into samurai or sengoku commander while your health is still good? おはようございます。お久しぶりです。北海道日本ハムファイターズの日本一、お目出度うございます。札幌ドームは、私の再就職先の大成建設が請け負ったもので、喜びも一入です。(^-^) 担当技師によると、緑を確保するための植栽に苦心したそうです。

大成をリタイアして既に４年、好きなことを好きなだけやって楽しんでいます。モデルがいないので、厚かましくも私がモデルとなり、フォトスタジオのご協力を得て、バイリンガルで褌武士を海外に向けて発信しています。

スタジオには丁髷や付け髭がないので、いまいちですが、更に工夫してみたいと思います。ご感想、ありがとうございました。田村さんの益々のご活躍を祈念しております。

斬新な写真、興味深く拝見。最後の白褌武士は、遠くを見据える澄んだ鷹の目。これは、演技というより、これまでの人生を誇りに思う心から自然に出ています。赤褌武士は、悪戯っぽい子供のよう。違いを出すのも面白いですよね。

時代劇では、台詞のない町人役でもファンデーションを塗って見栄えを良くしています。カメラがアップする時はメイクさんが出てきて、再び化粧直しをされます。貴兄は綺麗な顔立ちなので、あえて塗る必要がないとお考えかもしれませんが、撮影用のファンデーションを使えば一層引き立ちますよ。（男のアナウンサーも使っています。）

赤褌・白褌武士についてご感想を賜り、光栄です。メイクについては、女性と違って何もしていません。フォトショップで修正すれば、シミもシワも取り去ることができますが、あえてしませんでした。身体に比べて顔に老化現象が多く見られるのは、紫外線のせいでしょうか。次回は、もう少し化粧したいと思います。(^-^) ご指摘、ありがとうございました。

 A. T. : Yes, I can see you repeated every pose you had in your early session. The photographer must be having a hard time trying to get all the posing right. Interesting!
